The SDK also includes a useful tool called DDLook which will detect all Dinkey Dongles attached to a computer and display information regarding their contents (see picture). The recommended way of installing the dongle drivers under Windows is to run a program called setupdrv. This detects the operating system and pre-installs the appropriate device drivers so that Windows will install the drivers when the dongles are first attached to the machine. We have a similar install package for Mac OSX drivers. Under Linux no drivers are needed but the user does need to run a setup script (once only per machine) so that the dongle can be detected. |
